I was just shown this video of the Tour de Queens which was a bike ride through our wonderful borough. And I snapped a shot of my I HEART QUEENS sticker on someone’s helmet. Awesome!

I heard about this company 1 Girl, 1 Boy from the Martha Stewart show. They also block print kids t-shirts from hand-carved rubber blocks. Super cute!

This is so exciting! I got my seed paper tags yesterday. They look fantastic. Basically to go more green, my couture hang tags are made from recycled paper that contains seeds. You can plant the paper in soil, water, and wildflowers begin to grow. Dude, so bad ass!

The knot of eternity

Sigh. I’ve come to terms. My rings are gone forever. I just can’t find them. I have no clue what happened to them.

Of course, I’m a bit depressed about it, but I must accept it. I am a big believer that things happen for a reason. Adam, who feels so bad for me, said that the rings served their purpose and that we are ready for our new phase in life. I just love that.

For the new phase in life, we are celebrating with getting the Buddhist Knot of Eternity tattooed on our ring fingers. The picture here is an elaborate version. We’ll be getting simplified versions. The knot represents interconnectedness of all things, the inter-twining of wisdom and compassion, and of time and change. I have been a Buddhist for 8 years now and it has helped me to better accept the inevitable changes in life.

I have been wanting another tattoo for awhile now, but wasn’t sure of what I wanted until now. I’m ready.

Growing up in So Cal, I was a surfer girl who spend many lazy hours at the beach. To pay homage to that endless summer lifestyle, I drew this surfer girl riding the waves.

About 6 weeks ago, Adam and I went on a type tour around the city with Tobias Frere-Jones. It’s organized through the AIGA. Tobias has created my two most favorite fonts Interstate and Gotham. On the tour, I was able to his inspiration behind Gotham. Super duper cool. Check out a few of the pics I took.
