So Vermont is of course beautiful and quiet. We are staying at the Blueberry Inn way deep in the Groshen forest. We are the only visitors this week so we have the whole place to ourselves. We rented out the side cabin next to the inn, but we can wonder about the main house at our leisure. The Inn was established sometime early 1800s so it’s victorian, but is updated with a fireplace, greenhouse and big kitchen. Adam and I are loafing around since the trails are a bit too damp to hike. I do like this place, but its kinda creeping me out that all the doors are left unlocked. Even the one to our cabin. They don’t lock the doors around here because it’s such a small town and is isolated. Since I watch a lot of those primetime crime shows, I keep thinking a serial killer or a theif is going to surprise us, steal all our stuff and leave us for dead. In Queens, we lock everything up – even double lock sometimes. It’s just what you do. Well, what can I say? I’m a NYC girl. You can take the girl out of the city, but you can’t take the city out of the girl.
