As we have been talking to more and more people, we are realizing that people need to see how my shirts work in the big scheme of things. In Los Angeles, people really get “casual couture” because ladies are always looking for ways to dress up their jeans and sandals in extremely consistent beachy weather. In New York though, it’s a bit different because outfits are so dependent on season and weather. And for most people here on the east coast, jeans are not dressy. So how do I explain tshirt couture so everyone understands?
Well, I have spent the last couple of days making mood boards. These boards have helped me hone down the “stories” behind my shirts. Every one categorizes in order to understand the world around them so I figure I should help them “categorize” my shirts. I have created five different moods and each of my shirts in placed into one of them.
Super Sweet: Sweet, cute and girly
Street Chic: Urban, hip hop, night life
Rock Star: Punk rock life style
Rabble Rouser: Statement makers
Pet Passion: anything with animals
So take a look at the new categories. We’ll soon be having a photo shoot to illustrate each category. I’m not stuck with these names so if you can think of anything better, please let me know.
